Neutral density attenuation film

Neutral Density (ND) Filters, also known as neutral density filters, neutral filters, ND filters, attenuation filters, fixed density filters, etc. Commonly used in imaging or laser applications to avoid damage to camera sensors or other optical components caused by strong light.

ND filters absorb or reflect the portion of light that has not been transmitted, in order to uniformly reduce the transmittance of a certain portion of the spectrum. Reflective neutral density filter, using the principle of thin film interference, transmits part of the light and reflects the other part. Absorption type neutral density filter generally refers to the material itself or the inclusion of certain elements in the material, which absorbs certain wavelengths of light and has little or no effect on other wavelengths of light. Usually, the damage threshold of absorption type neutral density filters is lower, and after long-term use, there may be heating phenomenon, so attention should be paid when using them.

Liwan Optics not only provides a large number of standard stock filters, but also can customize filters according to your needs.
